Now for a REAL sin...

What have I done?
In a moment of hasty weakness (clouded by the droves of funerals again this week, no doubt) I allowed the choir to sing "Gather Us In" for Mass this weekend. WHAT HAVE I DONE? All this death really is getting to me. As I sit here listening to Josquin's Missa Pange Lingua (during this brief gasp of air otherwise known as speed-lunch) I can't help but repeatedly bang my head on the wall. WHY?!

  1. Anna, keep listening to My Man Josquin, and you'll never make the same mistake again. "Gather Us In" was also on our "approved" list of music to do last week. I could've played it, but then would've had to jump from the choir loft in some sort of ritual suicide act.

  2. "approved" list? Really? good grief. Speaking of ritual suicide, I almost committed death by organ bench (by slamming my head in it of course) today as I tried to seek out ANY means of escaping this STUPID AWFUL Pochahontas panflute random parishioner A decided to show up and play for a FUNERAL this morning. (on EVERY FREAKING SONG). AWERGHAGHAGHAGHHAFGH

  3. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I already told this dimwit not to play, as it would be inappropriate(because he normally plays SAXOPHONE with the "folk" group. Apparently "cheap toy recorder" is appropriate. Duh!)

Is there NO RESPECT? (for me, or for the dead, for that matter!)
