Yes, that photo of your mum by the river is a great one. Interesting to know how that tree stump got there... pushed along after a recent flood? Looks like quite a wide swath for a river plain.
ReplyDeleteUntil I read your comment, I didn't realize how much it really does look like a river. This is actually our local man-made lake, which is significantly drained every Fall in anticipation of the Spring "monsoons." The tree stumps (and entire fence-lines) have been there, I suppose, since the lake was made. Dad tells me that this photo was taken in the Spring.
ReplyDeleteThere are certainly places nearby where the Ohio River is at least this wide. I hope it never gets this low, though.
